Marriage is a sacred covenant in which a man and a woman freely pledge their lives to one another, mirroring Christ’s faithful love for the Church. As a sacrament, it deepens both partners’ relationship with God and empowers them to live as disciples together—loving, supporting, and nurturing one another and their family. At St. John Cantius Parish, couples preparing for marriage will engage in a process of formation and spiritual preparation, meet with parish clergy, and celebrate the ceremony in the presence of the faith community.
